Very cool idea. Now I'm going to be checking out the bottom of people's shoes. :-)

Fabulous stuff, Lill!! And no, you are hardly the only "freak" to do such a thing. Only problem with collecting shoes for their soles is they take up so much room! Maybe look for children's sizes from now on. :)

This post really made me smile I'm glad to know I'm not the only one who walks the walk for my art.

I am a total garage sale nut and I never thought to look at the bottom of shoes for the print they would make. I may have to go back to the garage sale down the street and look at the shoes again. LOL!!!

I have never bought shoes to use as print blocks, but I have gone around turning peoples feet over looking for good design. Then whipped them away to be pushed into moldable foam for posterity

My son used to choose his shoes by the print they would make in the sand - so I'm familiar with that consideration! Nice ATCs, Lillian.

Those shoes are cute - I hope that once you are done crafting with them, you will wear them!

LOL!! I bought a pair of flip flops and cut them up to make them into stamps (circles) because of the image it would make so no... you are not a freak! I love all your ATCs too!

Such a cool idea to use the tread to add texture (are they also your size so you can wear them?!!) Love your work - really beautiful.

Only you... but I have to say if I'd come across soles like that, the thought of the impression may well have crossed my mind as well... VERY COOL!! And I love all the ATC's, too!
